Biographical history

Earle K. Kennedy is the son of Fauntleroy G. Kennedy and Helena McRae, late of Southport, Prince Edward Island. Mr. Kennedy served overseas with the Canadian Army. In 1949, he began his career with the provincial government of Prince Edward Island. From 1965 to 1972 he served as Clerk of the Executive Council and as Clerk of the Legislative Assembly from 1975 to 1977. Mr. Kennedy's co-authored the book "The Currency and Medals of Prince Edward Island", published in 1988, as well as other works on the subject.

This collection consists of military orders, nominal rolls, correspondence, and lectures pertaining to various military units including the Maritime Composite Regiment and the No. 26 Field Ambulance Unit. The collection is organized into the following series: Maritime Composite Regiment, Levi Camp; No. 26 Field Ambulance Unit; Charlottetown Camp Daily Orders; Military District No. 6 District Orders; Militia Orders, Headquarters, Ottawa; General Orders, Headquarters, Ottawa; and Military District No. 12 general orders.
