The volume is a history of the St. Pers Fire District including the communities of Midgell, Cardigan Road, Forest Hill, Cable Head East, Goose River, Naufrage, Dingwells Mills, Fortune Road, Armdale, St. Peters Bay, Southampton, Greenwich, Cable Head West, Monticello, Selkirk, Farmington, Five Houses, and Ashton from aboriginal days to the late 20th century. It includes chapters on industry and business, education, religion, transportation, recreation and leisure, etc. This book was funded by the Canadian Youth Employment Strategy and sponsored by the Greenwich Area Residents Group and written by Juanita Rossiter, resident of St. Peters Bay. Primary research and interviews of community members was undertaken by Karen Larkin, Bonnie Hayden, Chantelle MacDonald, Christian Gavard and Tammy Dowling.
