Biographical history

Maude Lane Anderson (185-?), was the daughter of Dr. Christopher Lane and Caroline Burns Lane of Prince Edward Island. Active in the movement to promote women in the workforce during World War I, Maude was the sister of Franklin K. Lane (1865-1921) who served as Secretary of the Interior (1913-1920) under the Wilson and Roosevelt administrations.

The fonds consists of a scrapbook, newspaper articles, photographs, and a family history compiled by Maude Lane Anderson relating to the Lane family. The majority of articles concern the life of her brother Franklin K. Lane and his career as a politician in the United States.
