This subseries consists of business ledgers of the Macdonald family, likely from the Georgetown store, for the years 1831 to 1843, 1875 to 1878, 1886, and 1908 to 1912. The earliest ledgers (1831 to ca. 1834, 1833 to ca. 1843) include accounts with various individuals, including family members and servants, as well as notes about crops, Panmure Island, and land in Lots 51 and 52. The later ledgers (1875 to 1878 and 1908 to 1912) include accounts with individuals. The ca. 1886 ledger is blank save for a newspaper clipping about the firm pasted to the inside cover. The subseries also includes an account book with lists, memos, household inventories and accounts, 1870 to 1892. The series has been arranged in chronological order.
