Biographical history

Oliver Good, farmer and shoemaker at Winsloe Station, Prince Edward Island, was born on 1 January 1840, the son of William Good and Anna Maria Roper of Lot 33. He married Frances Harper of Charlottetown on 1 August 1867 and they had at least 5 children: Alice, Annie, Samuel, Oliver, and Eliza.

The fonds consists of an accounts ledger kept by Oliver Good from 1867 to 1872. Kept by name of the customer it records purchases and repairs of shoes, often including the name of the family member for whom the shoes were made. It also includes some sales of farm produce such as hay, potatoes and mutton.
