Biographical history

Pamela Hendricksen, a resident of Peoria, Illinois, was the great-great granddaughter of Stephen MacCallum, of Brackley, Prince Edward Island, one of the adventurers who sailed on the "Fanny". He was later to describe the trip in a series of articles published in the Evening Patriot beginning 5 September 1892.

Custodial history

The photograph was copied from an original in the hands of G. Harry Kielly and preserved by the descendents of Stephen MacCallum.

Scope and content

The collection consists of a copy print of a photograph of the "Fanny" taken at an unidentified dock presumed to be somewhere in the United Kingdom. Also included are copies of Edward Love's diary of the voyage of the "Fanny" as it was published in the Guardian magazine 10 March to 9 June 1906
