Biographical history

Russell Bowes of Dorchester, New Brunswick was in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He took these photographs while visiting Prince Edward Island on leave in 1942.

The fonds contains 16 images of Charlottetown in 1942. At least half of the images are of the Provincial Exhibition during Old Home Week of that year. A number of latter images are of harness racing
