Custodial history

Scope and content

The fonds consists of background documents and plans which were used by consultants StellingKelly and Jacques Whitford in the process of developing an official plan for the proposed amalgamated City of Charlottetown in the mid 1990s. The textual documents include previous planning studies for the City of Charlottetown as well as the official plans and some by-laws for the surrounding communities of East Royalty, Hillsboro Park, Parkdale, Sherwood, West Royalty and Winsloe. Plans include earlier zoning maps of Charlottetown and the surrounding communities as well as a street map of Charlottetown, a map titled the "New City of Charlottetown", maps of existing (November 1996) and future land use (April 1997) and a second draft of a zoning by-law map, drawn in April 1997.
