Custodial history

Scope and content

The fonds consists of a journal kept by Thomas Larner from April to November in 1852 documenting his voyage aboard the "Enterprise" schooner from Halifax to the ports of Charlottetown, New York, and Labrador. His journal entries mostly include records of the weather and delivery of cargo. The fonds also includes a letter written by George Larner to his brother Thomas on 24 January 1882, which indicates that he was also a seaman. A record of the birth dates of Emily, John, and Nancy Larner is also included.
