Healthy School Communities

School Nutrition Policy

Developed by the PEI Healthy Eating Alliance (HEA), through funding from the Department of Health and Wellness, and in collaboration with the English and French Language School Boards, the school nutrition policy addresses students' access to food, nutrition quality of food distributed or sold at school, and supports a variety of nutrition education opportunities. The policy was fully implemented by 2011 by both school boards.
