Scope and content

This fonds consists of the diary and account book of Emma Chadwick Stretch, 1850-1860 as well as three daily journals of Chadwick Stretch, 1884, 1886, and 1889. Emma's diary book appears to contain some letters, etc., by her children, perhaps written as practice of their penmanship. Also included are lose sheets found amongst the pages of the latter journals. These sheets include documents relating to the Sons of Temperance, correspondence, and poetry.
